Community Portal Enhancements List - May 2024
Below is a running list of enhancements related to the Community Portal:

The navigation bar has changed at the top to compensate for the overcrowding. In addition, the top menu verbiage is customizable. It will default to "DEPARTMENTS".
- A maximum amount for utility payments can be set.
- A maximum amount for non-utility payments can be set.
- You can require a payor to enter information in the Comments field when making a miscellaneous/other payment.
Errors Delayed on Miscellaneous Payment Screen
- Errors do not appear immediately when a payor goes to make a miscellaneous/other payment. Errors will only show after trying to submit a payment and information is missing.
Auto Pay Capabilities for Site Administrators (Watch Video (1m06s))
- Site administrators now have the ability to setup auto pay for customers. In addition, site administrators can unenroll a customer from auto pay.
Password Reset and Email Confirmation Customization (Watch Video (1m19s))
- The emails sent for password reset and email confirmation can now be customized. Previously, these emails were boilerplate and could not be customized.
Cart Allows Other Payments
- The shopping cart now allows miscellaneous/other payments to be added.
Reorganization of the Portal Settings Screen
- The portal settings screen has been reorganized for better groupings.
Credit Card Fee Description Customization for Non-Utility Payments (Watch Video (1m24s))
- The description that appears on a payor's statement after a non-utility payment is made can now be customized. If the transaction fee is being passed on to the payor, that description can also be customized.

- The description that appears on a customers statement after a utility payment is made can now be customized. If the transaction fee is being passed on to the customer, that description can also be customized.
Removed Preauthorization/Capture Flow for Zift
- The need for a preauthorization charge has been eliminated for those using Zift as their credit card processor. Payments are immediately taken eliminating preauthorization charges that might not clear for a period of time on a customer's statement.
- A notification has been added alerting the customer that a credit card they have saved to their wallet is due to expire.
- A prompt has been added asking the user whether they want to go the shopping cart to finalize payment or to stay where they are. Previously, the site would take the user to the cart whether they wanted to or not.
