In the May 2023 release, there is a new warning (see below) that occurs when a pay code allocation method is not consistent with the type of GL accounts used on the Allocations tab on the Positions tab and the employee’s pay code. The checks will still calculate and will assign GL accounts as they did before the update as it is a warning not an error. It does indicate that changes need to be made either to GL accounts or the Allocation method on the employee’s pay code but it is not necessary to make the changes to these settings immediately unless an employee’s GL accounts are not correct on the Payroll Register Detail report.
