New Fund Setup - Copy Account Ranges
To create a new fund you may want to consider copying the
account numbers from a current fund to a new fund number. Find a fund that best matches the numbering
of the new fund. In the sample fund 365
is used as a template for fund 366.
Copy account ranges
1.
Open Connect General Ledger >
Organization > Copy Account Ranges.
At
the Accounts area enter the account range of the fund you will be copying
including the fund header account number which is always the fund number
followed by zeros, like FFF000000.
Select
the “Segment” (F) FUND
Enter
the new fund number
1.
Click GO (Ctrl+G). The system will copy all account numbers
within the range to the new fund segment value.
Update the Account Headers to the new fund name
in General Ledger > Organization >
Account Headers and find the newly created fund number to change the title.
All other headers should copy
