Below are the changes/enhancements in the release noted.  Please utilize the videos next to most items to learn about those changes/enhancements.

All Applications

Checklist
  • Checklists have been updated with a new look and feel.
  • The new Checklist saves the position where the checklist was docked from your last session.
  • Task notes have been updated to support rich text.  This will provide features to include things like a numbered list, bold, italicized, underlined text, and the Papyrus font.
  • The date box has been replaced with a drop-down menu (in addition to the next/prior buttons) to assist with navigating between dates.
Manage Checklist
  • This view has been updated with a new look and feel.
  • The ability to setup a task to open a specified report definition has been added.  This is available for all reports using the latest report base.
  • The ability to send notifications to users has been added.  Groups and tasks can be setup to send notifications at the time they are due or completed.  The preference for an email or text notification can be setup for each user in System Management > Master Records > Setup/Modify User Settings.                                                                                                      
  • Templates that can be imported for applications and specific processes like year-end has been added.
  • The ability to add attachments to checklists, groups, and tasks has been added.  These attachments can be accessed in a similar manner to notes using the attachment (paperclip) icon on the checklist toolbar.
  • The ability to modify the owner of the checklist has been added.
  • A Group option to default the dates in the date menu based on the last completed date or next due date has been added.
  • Options to save the default display option for a group as collapsed or stay collapsed if all tasks in the group for the date are completed has been added.
  • Copy and Paste options to support copying and pasting text for tasks, groups, and checklists has been added.
  • The Share With All Users option (it's a hyperlink that is in the upper-right corner of the view) has been added.  Clicking this link will open the Share Checklist window, where you can select the users who will have access to the checklist.  The shared checklist will be included in the user's list of available checklists.                                                                                                                        
  • An option to share a checklist with all users in a group has been added.  Groups can be setup in System Management > Security > Setup/Modify Group Rights.
Checklist History Report
  • A new report that will provide information about who and when checklist items were completed has been added.  This new report can be found in the menu on the Print button on the checklist toolbar.      
Master Records > Setup/Modify Contacts
  • Attachments to the primary contact record has been added.  You can save attachments with the contact that's saved in the primary contact record.  A primary contact can be used to link accounts and owners from multiple applications.

System Management

Load Databases, Send Databases

  • The views have been updated with a new look and feel.

Accounts Payable

Setup New Vendors
  • A warning when a user adds a vendor with a duplicate name or address has been added.
Vendor Inquiry
  • Recent Records has been added to the File menu.

Animal License

Modify Existing Licenses
  • The dynamic menu has been updated on the Owner Name field with a new modify dialog.
Setup New Licenses
  • Print button has been added to the toolbar.
  • An Enter Manual Billings button has been added to the toolbar.
  • A prompt to create billings for new licenses option has been added.
  • Print license after license is created option has been added.
  • An option to set the License/Renewal Form report definition that prints with the Print button on the toolbar has been added.
Update License Information
  • A dynamic menu has been added on the Owner field to view additional information, modify owner information, and to search for available owners.

Business License

Approve Businesses
  • This view has been added to approve businesses routed through an approval process.
  • Notifications have been added as part of the approval process.
Approval Groups
  • This view has been added to add approvers to a group to be assigned to an approval step.
Approve Processes
  • This view has been added to create an approval process to approve businesses.
Inquiry
  • The ability to view approval process information has been added.
Users
  • This view has been added to add users to be assigned to an approval group.

Community Development

Projects

  • The projects form report and form type has been renamed from Project Approvals to Projects.

Report Writer

  • The following has been added as new columns to the selection criteria, report order, and columns sections:
    • [Report].Permit total fees
    • [Report].Project total fees
    • [Report].Violation total fees
Setup New Permits
  • A new message prompt has as been added that shows the inquiry message, hold message, or both messages for the selected property.
View Schedule
  • A Delete Appointment message that displays when an existing appointment is selected to be deleted has been added.
  • Refresh button has been added to the toolbar.

General Ledger

Create Positive Pay File

  • This routine has been updated with a new look and feel.

Journal Inquiry

  • The ability to view approval information tied to a transaction has been added.

Positive Pay Formats

  • This routine has been updated with a new look and feel.

Payroll

Calculate Benefit Amounts (Watch Video (1m12s))

  • The ability to ignore debit override when using jobs from Project Accounting has been added.

Checkout

  • An option to exclude 1099 employees from options that search for federal withholding errors has been added.
  • The third-party Social Security and Medicare amounts have been added to the calculation.
Combined Register
  • A new report has been added to show employee checks, leave, and benefit amounts in one report has been added.
Modify Existing Employees
  • The message that displays when an employee's Social Security number is already used by another employee has been added.
  • The leave rate has been added to the employee's view.

Void Payroll Checks

  • The ability to choose a check date for a replacement check has been added.
  • This routine has been updated with a new look and feel.

Utility Management

Electronic Reading Format

  • The following meter read formats have been added to the interface type drop-down menu:
    • Kamstrup
    • Landis+Gyr
    • Master Meter
    • Metereaders
    • TESCO
    • Utilityhawk
    • Vision
    • Zenner
  • The Hersey Meters interface has been renamed to Mueller.

Import Meter Readings

  • This view has been updated with a new look and feel.
  • A new error prompt has been added that shows immediately upon processing if the import format includes the ~Service command and not the ~Serv No variable.
  • A new checkbox option titled Check for future activity has been added.  This new option will warn users about meters with future activity already recorded as meter activity.  A warning will be displayed in the Error/Warning column on the prescan report, and the readings can still be imported if the user proceeds with the process.
  • The process to find and match the customer by Meter ID when the Cust No variable is not in the import format has been updated.
  • A new checkbox option titled Replace existing readings has been added.  When selected, the process will replace any existing period meter readings for the designated period.
  • The ~Read Code command has been updated to function with a sequenced value.  The command can be used multiple times in the format and import file.
  • The process to ignore any values inside parenthesis has been updated.  If an import type format is setup with comments using parenthesis, then the comment will be ignored, and the readings will be imported.
  • The prescan report has been updated to show the following errors:
    • Error: Customer is disconnected will show in the Error/Warning column for any customer that is considered disconnected, and the reading will not be imported.
    • Error: Meter not active will show in the Error/Warning column for any meter that is considered inactive, and the reading will not be imported.
    • Error: Customer is not connected will show in the Error/Warning column for any customer that has a connect date prior to the read date included in the import file.
    • Warning: Meter with future activity already recorded as meter activity.  The reading will be imported.

Rate Summary

  • The [Report].Number of units column has been added as an available column in the detail section.  This will allow users to reconcile the number of units between the summary section and the detail section of the report.

Shutoff List/Notices

  • This view has been updated to support the new reporting base.
  • An option to include non-metered services has been added.
  • The Last Payment Date, Last Payment Amount, Service Address, and multiple customer fields have been added as available fields to show as columns on the Review tab.
  • The following columns have been added to the list report:
    • [Report].Meters
    • [Report].EMR IDs
    • [Report].MXU IDs
    • [Report].Read route
    • [Report].Read sequence
    • [Report].Balance due
    • [Report].Last payment amount
    • [Report].Last payment date
