Below are the changes/enhancements in the release noted.  Please utilize the videos next to most items to learn about those changes/enhancements.

All Applications

Schedule Tasks
  • Additional functionality to set up Report Writer exports has been added.  This applies to any application where you are exporting data from a Report Writer definition.
Send Notifications
  • This view has been added to provide a way to send notifications to customers, vendors, owners, and so on.  It is found in System Management | System Tools.
  • At this time, there are options to send emails to the following records:
    • Accounts Payable - Vendors
    • Business License/Business Tax Collection - Business owners
    • Utility Management - Customers
Attachments
  • The number of attachments that can be assigned to a record has increased from 255 to over two billion.

Accounts Payable

Create ACH File
  • The Bank table has been added to the selection criteria grid.
Update General Ledger
  • The Bank table has been added to the selection criteria grid.

Accounts Receivable

Inquiry
  • The ability to launch Enter Payments has been added by clicking on the customer balance link.
Unapply Payments
  • This view has been updated to allow unapplying voided payments.

Asset Management

Manage Pending Assets
  • An option to delete multiple pending asset records has been added.

Business Licenses

Aging Report
  • The look and feel of the report has been updated.
Calculate Billings
  • The Business Activity field has been added to the selection criteria grid.

Business Tax

Aging Report
  • The look and feel of the report has been updated.
Fees
  • A scroll bar has been added to the rates grid.

Check on Demand

Import Checks
  • This routine has been updated with a new look and feel.
  • Account verification has been added to verify the GL account number is valid.
  • Validation rules have been added to match the file and data validation requirements in the database.
  • The ability to import the following fields has been added: Check Issue Date, Country, Fax, Email, Delivery Point, Secondary Name, Telephone 1, Telephone 2, and Comments.

Community Development

Fees
  • A Default Quantity field that can be used when the Level based on field is set to use a quantity has been added.  The default quantity value will be loaded in the fee quantity field automatically when the fee is added to the item.
Permit Estimates
  • This view has been updated to support the new reporting features.
Permit Inquiry
  • An Attachments tab has been added to the Contacts tab.
Property Inquiry
  • An Attachments tab has been added to the Contacts tab.
Property Notices
  • This view has been updated to support new reporting features.
Setup New Contacts, Modify Existing Contacts
  • Attachment functionality has been added.
  • The view has been updated to support new functionality.

General Ledger

Import Cleared Checks
  • The ability to clear checks from the BR type journal code has been added.
Journal Reports
  • The Category column has been added to the selection criteria, report order, and the columns tab.
Setup Outstanding Deposits/Checks
  • This routine has been updated with a new look and feel.
  • Periods 13 and 14 have been removed from the GL period list.

Government Reporting

Create Electronic 1099 File
  • The Minnesota state file has been updated to include a .csv file type.
W-2/W-3s
  • An organization email variable has been added: Employer/Payer Email Address.

Human Resources

Delete Applicants
  • This routine has been updated with a new look and feel.
Delete Job Postings
  • This routine has been updated with a new look and feel.
Employee List
  • Reports To and Manager have been added to the report column options.
Setup New Employees, Modify Existing Employees
  • The validation check for a benefit type pay code if the employee has waived health insurance has been removed.

Materials Management

Inventory Value Report
  • This report has been updated with a new look and feel.
  • The Last Issue Date column has been added to the report.
Update Project Accounting
  • The GL period has been added when updating transactions to the Project Accounting applications.

Payroll

Add Pay Codes to Employees
  • This routine has been updated with a new look and feel.
Enter Leave Time Adjustments
  • A warning if the entry exceeds the annual accrual limit has been added.
Enter Payroll Checks
  • Options to include the Job number, GL Activity, and Workers Compensation fields have been added to the Manual Allocations box.
Employee Tax Summary
  • The report has been updated to include drill-down capability.
Modify Payroll Checks
  • The ability to delete checks from the redisplay screen has been added.

Pay Codes
  • The by pay period option has been added to Gross type pay codes.
Setup New Employees, Modify Existing Employees
  • Alert messages have been added for employees.
  • Variable Part Time has been added to the Position Type menu. 

Timekeeping

Delete Equipment History
  • This routine has been updated with a new look and feel.

Enter Employee Time
  • The GL account column has been added to the view for single day entry.
Project Accounting
Assemblies List
  • This routine has been updated with a new look and feel.

Utility Management

Calculate Penalty Billings
  • More billing information has been added to the transaction comment for penalty billing type transactions.
Import Meter Readings
  • This view has been updated with a new look and feel.
  • A new error prompt has been added that shows immediately upon processing if the import format includes the ~Service command and not the ~Serv No variable.
  • A new checkbox option titled Check for future activity has been added.  This new option will warn users about meters with future activity already recorded as meter activity.  A warning will be displayed in the Error/Warning column on the prescan report, and the readings can still be imported if the user proceeds with the process.
  • The process to find and match the customer by Meter ID when the Cust No variable is not in the import format has been updated.
  • A new checkbox option titled Replace existing readings has been added.  When selected, the process will replace any existing period meter readings for the designated period.
  • The ~Read Code command has been updated to function with a sequenced value.  The command can be used multiple times in the format and import file.
  • The process to ignore any values inside parenthesis has been updated.  If an import type format is setup with comments using parenthesis, then the comment will be ignored, and the readings will be imported.
  • The prescan report has been updated to show the following errors:
    • Error: Customer is disconnected will show in the Error/Warning column for any customer that is considered disconnected, and the reading will not be imported.
    • Error: Meter not active will show in the Error/Warning column for any meter that is considered inactive, and the reading will not be imported.
    • Error: Customer is not connected will show in the Error/Warning column for any customer that has a connect date prior to the read date included in the import file.
    • Warning: Meter with future activity already recorded as meter activity.  The reading will be imported.
Service Order Inquiry
  • Meter ID has been added as an available column to add to the grid on the Search tab.
